What a beautiful sight the Klangschloss was

What a spectacle the 2018 edition of Klangschloss.ch in Greifensee was! It was very enjoyable and ran smoothly throughout. The audience was at a very high musical level, the performances were incredible, the venue was magnificent... and we had wonderful weather ;-)

We had a large setup consisting of:

- Nadac 8-channel DAC preamplifier with external power supply

- Gato Audio CD player

- Gato Audio mono power amplifiers

- Complete cabling by Cammino

- Omicron decouplers

- Blumenhofer Genuine FS 1 MK2 speakers

- Rack designed and developed by us in Attalens.

From the photos, you can get more information about the components and how they were connected in our setup.

The listening room was divided in two: we shared it with Illusonic, a Swiss company specializing in digital sound processing. This isn't our philosophy; it's a different approach that can be suitable for many situations where it's not possible to work with analog technologies. Very appreciable.

We only had digital music, played with a Roon controller. It was the first time in a long time that browsing tracks on an iPad felt analog. Andrea says he'll check out Roon as soon as he gets home; when a vinyl enthusiast like him says that, it must be significant.

At the show, several rooms were playing all-analog setups, as you can see in the photos, with reel-to-reel decks and classic turntables over 40 years old.

The presentations held during the show were particularly interesting. You can download them here to get a glimpse of Andrea Vitali's lectures from Blumenhofer Acoustics. There were many more people than expected. The feedback was positive, with a very informal and informative presentation, they said. Andrea accepted the compliment and welcomed the questions after the lecture.

We all enjoyed the show at the Klangschloss and Marcus's tremendous commitment to an exceptional show on this beautiful avenue. Looking forward to Klangschloss 2019!
